Member BenefitsACEC/L and ACEC provide a forum for sharing experiences and exchanging ideas. Participation in state and national conferences, committee activities, and seminars provides an opportunity to talk with your peers - fellow design professionals - about business problems and solutions. ACEC and ACEC/L members include seasoned, experienced senior managers in consulting engineering, with practical knowledge to share. Through ACEC and ACEC/L, consulting engineers make important business connections, setting the stage for joint ventures, engineering subcontracts, and client referrals. ACEC/L keeps members informed of state agency design projects advertised by Facility Planning and Control. ACEC/L is your voice in the Louisiana Legislature, lobbying on your behalf, and crafting legislation designed to protect your business interest and to enhance your business practice. ACEC/L was instrumental in the successful passage of a bill that reduces your peremptive period from seven to five years in the 2003 Regular Session of the Louisiana Legislature.
